Function From Victory - Pastor Ekpenyong

1 Chronicle 29:11ESV “ Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.”

As children of the most high God, we ought to live life from a victory perspective.

It’s the assurance and confidence from the knowledge that everything that concerns the believer is already settled by the result of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This puts your heart at rest and hence causes you to function from that dimension; knowing that all that’s in the heavens and earth is your Father’s.

You are not trying to get God to do something for you, as is the manner of many rather you are conditioning yourself with the consciousness of all that has been allotted you as your inheritance.

There will be situations that will try to test your resolve or state but refuse to be unsettled by all these because before they even occur, you are more than a conqueror. Halleluyah!

Jesus said in John 16:33amp “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.”

The Same Spirit of Faith - Pastor Ekpenyong

2 Corinthians 4:13 weymouth “But possessing the same Spirit of faith as he who wrote, "I believed, and therefore I have spoken," we also believe, and therefore we speak.”

Our common heritage in Christ is one of the greatest thrills we find in God’s word.

We see how that the heritage is common to us all.

Our text shows us that we all have the same spirit of faith implying that the great exploits we have seen demonstrated both in the scriptures and in contemporary history can be our everyday experience because we all have the same spirit of faith. Halleluyah!

Our Father is the Spirit of faith and is a speaking Spirit. The creation story in Genesis attests to this, we also see how He speaks of the future as with much certainty as though they were past.

For you to maximize the spirit of faith at work in you, you must speak what you believe.

The missing ingredient in the faith walk of quite a number of Christians is the inconsistency of speech.

Commit to speaking what you believe and create the world of your dreams.

Vocabulary Of Silence - Pastor Ekpenyong

Proverbs 18:20 NKJV “A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.”

GNT “You will have to live with the consequences of everything you say.”

Are you satisfied and filled?

Well, here is the reason why you must put a guard over your mouth.

It is so easy to give up when you’re pressured by the symptoms of defeat and failure.

However, nothing can hurt you and no situation will put you under if you’ll stand on God’s word and resist the temptation to give up.

You must learn to talk the word or be quiet.

Put the word of God on your circumstance and be satisfied and filled.

As you learn the vocabulary of silence, you will not have what to say every time because your speech is no more controlled by how you feel but by the word of God.

It is certain that, you will be experiencing the supernatural naturally because every marvellous experience is connected to the words of your mouth.

Speak the word or be quiet.

Rest - The Posture of the Divine - Pastor Ekpenyong

Heb.4:10amp “For he who has once entered [God's] rest also has ceased from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God rested from those labors peculiarly His own.”

The best of the life in Christ will find greatest expression when we come into His rest.

This is because this new life can only be lived by faith as we have entered into His rest.

When you believe, you come into rest.

The point of rest is where you believe God’s word concerning you and your circumstances to the extent that you are not trying to fix it any other way nor are you reminding God about it.

You may want to ask so what do I do if I shouldn’t try to fix it or pray to remind or convince God?  You give Him praise.

This is because whatever God has told you in His word is done.

Until this fact settles in your heart, don’t stop speaking the word that was given to you.

Begin the journey of being at rest in God, you will see how sweet and stress less the life of a believer was designed to be for you have been called into a life of rest.
