Say What You Believe - Pastor Ekpenyong

2 Corinthians 4:13JBPhillips “Our faith is like that mentioned in the scripture: ‘I believed and therefore I spoke’.”

Our common heritage in Christ is one of the greatest thrills we find in God’s word; we see how all that has been made available for us in Him and our heritage is common to all of us.

The King James rendering of our text shows us that we all have the same spirit of faith implying that the great exploits we have seen demonstrated both in the scriptures and in contemporary history can be our everyday experience because we all have the same spirit of faith. Halleluyah!

Our Father is the Spirit of faith and is a speaking Spirit. The creation story in Genesis attests to this, we also see how He speaks of the future as with much certainty as though they were past.

For you to maximize the spirit of faith at work in you, you must speak what you believe.

The missing ingredient in the faith walk of quite a number of Christians is the incoherence of belief and speech.

Commit to speaking what you believe and create the world of your dreams free of worry, lack, and all the cares of life.

No More Prisoners of Hope - Pastor Ekpenyong

Zech.9:12amp “Return to the stronghold [of security and prosperity], you prisoners of hope; even today do I declare that I will restore double your former prosperity to you.”

A person could be so overwhelmed by a challenge that there may be no possibility of change in sight, at least not in the present, which makes people hope that someday-sometime, God may in His infinite mercy cause a change.

As noble as this thought is, it is so filled with unbelief and doubt because what we are hoping for in the future is already done.

Pharaoh besieged Moses to intercede on their behalf that the frogs God had plagued Egypt with be evacuated. Moses asked when he wanted it done and Pharaoh said tomorrow.

Who wants to live with a plague for one more night? This is what happens when we choose to tolerate the mess of the devil hoping that someday somehow, God will do something about what He has already done.

Faith is now! Insist on taking the delivery of all that is in the package of the new birth.

Decide to walk in victory now and you will see that the devil cannot resist you.

Glory!

Raise Your Spirits - Pastor Ekpenyong

1 Samuel 30:6NLT “David was now in great danger because all his men were very bitter about losing their sons and daughters, and they began to talk of stoning him. But David found strength in the Lord his God.”

We live in a fast-paced world where everything is moving so fast with so much action and constant activity.

However, it is your responsibility to ensure that your soul receives daily nourishment and encouragement by every means available so that you will be in the right spirit.

Suffice it to say that THE FIRST THING which should be your daily quest is not how you will better serve the LORD or do your job rather that you should be happy and strengthened in the LORD.

This is how to prevent the strain and burnout that many experience because of the pressures and contradictions of life and living.

David was distressed as well as his soldiers having all suffered the same loss and yet he encouraged and strengthened himself in the LORD.

You will become a better person and witness in your sphere of influence when you are happy in the LORD.

Deal With The Contradictions - Pastor Ekpenyong

John 17:17 AMP “Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth.”

In every believer’s life are the contradictions of truth and facts.

The truth in the face of facts could be termed a lie to an unbeliever or a carnal Christian, but God's word remains the truth.

What are the facts of your life? The facts of your life are the current realities which may not all be in line with the truth of God’s word.

An example could be a pile of unpaid bills or unmet needs; health challenge, unpleasant marital situations and so on. All these seem to make the truth a lie in your life.

Do not get discouraged or confused because of the contradictions of your calling.

Choose to assert yourself in the truth despite, inspite and regardless of the contrary situations.

Keep speaking the truth, which is God’s word over those negative and contrary circumstances until they fall in line and the truth becomes your reality.

Glory!
