Our Common Heritage - Pastor Ekpenyong

2 Corinthians 4:13 tpt We have the same Spirit of faith that is described in the Scriptures when it says, First I believed, then I spoke in faith. So we also first believe then speak in faith”
Our common heritage in Christ is one of the greatest thrills we find in God’s word.

We see how that the heritage is common to us all.

Our text shows us that we all have the same spirit of faith implying that the great exploits we have seen demonstrated both in the scriptures and in contemporary history can be our everyday experience because we all have the same spirit of faith. Halleluyah!

Our Father is the Spirit of faith and is a speaking Spirit. The creation story in Genesis attests to this, we also see how He speaks of the future as with much certainty as though they were past.

For you to maximize the spirit of faith at work in you, you must speak what you believe.

The missing ingredient in the faith walk of quite a number of Christians is the inconsistency of speech.

Commit to speaking what you believe and create the world of your dreams.

Glory!

Enliven Your Atmosphere - Pastor Ekpenyong

Proverbs 15:15AMP
“All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [by anxious thoughts and forebodings], but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].”

It is awesome to realize that all through the scriptures, we were made victors and not victims in this life.

We are not miserable people feeling sorrowful, frustrated, sad, depressed and disappointed; circumstances don’t dictate our outcome. Halleluyah!

When you take control of your feelings and emotions, you will eventually take control of your circumstances.

Take control of your emotions to your own advantage, which is why we cannot wait until circumstances change before we get enlivened.

Our experiences and future are tied to our joy.
Choose to be joyful for that takes the control of your emotions away from situations and people and puts it within the realm of your control. Halleluyah!

Even though the fig trees have no fruit and no grapes grow on the vines, even though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no grain, even though the sheep all die and the cattle stalls are empty, I will still be joyful and glad, because the Lord God is my Savior.

Glory!

Live True To Your Conviction - Pastor Ekpenyong

Galatians 2:12TPT
“He enjoyed being with the non-Jewish believers who didn’t keep the Jewish customs, eating his meals with them — up until the time the Jewish friends of James arrived from Jerusalem. When he saw them, he withdrew from his non-Jewish friends and separated himself from them, acting like an orthodox Jew — fearing how it would look to them if he ate with the non-Jewish believers.”

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you had to go against what you believe and know to be true because of the fear of people’s reactions?

Well that’s what our conversation is about today. Peter found himself in this situation.
Refuse to conform to opinions and expectations of you when they are not consistent with who you are in Christ as a new creation.

Choose to major on what is major for us as new creations in Christ and minimize on what God isn’t maximizing.

When you stand for what you know is the truth, you won’t be standing alone forever because in no distant time people and circumstances will conform to who you are in Christ.

For we can do nothing against the truth neither serve any party nor personal interest but only for the truth which is the gospel.

Therefore, be bold and live true to your convictions.

Glory!

Demonstrate Your Confidence - Pastor Ekpenyong

 Hebrews 11:11MSG
By faith, barren Sarah was able to become pregnant, old woman as she was at the time, because she believed the One who made a promise would do what he said.

We only know who we are and why we are because God tells us in His word.

Renewing our minds require us to learn how to let God's words over our lives completely change our old beliefs about who we are—even before we see His word manifesting fully in us.

This is how we demonstrate confidence in Him.

However, every word is as viable as the confidence reposed on the character of the person who made the promise.

Our text shows what enabled Mother Sarah’s wonder conception despite her age, which was her consideration and estimation of God who promised as reliable, trustworthy and faithful. Halleluyah!

This estimation of God as the Faithful One who promised is a common denominator in all those who received the promised share.

Your faith should not be on positive or negative circumstances, but on who you know God to be from your history and that of others with Him.

Glory!
