Journey @ Rest - Pastor Ekpenyong

 Hebrews 4:10AMP
“For he who has once entered [God's] rest also has ceased from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God rested from those labors peculiarly His own.”

The best of the life in Christ will find greatest expression when we come into His rest.

This is because this new life can only be lived by faith as we have entered into His rest.

When you believe, you come into rest.

The point of rest is where you believe God’s word concerning you and your circumstances to the extent that you are not trying to fix it any other way nor are you reminding God about it.

You may want to ask, so what do I do if I shouldn’t try to fix it or pray to remind or convince God? You give Him praise.

This is because whatever God has told you in His word is done.

Until this fact settles in your heart, don’t stop speaking the word that was given to you.

Begin the journey of being at rest in God, you will see how sweet and stressless the life of a believer was designed to be for you have been called into a life of rest.

Glory!

Retrain Your Imagination - Pastor Ekpenyong

2Corinthians 4:18TPT
"Because we don’t focus our attention on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but the unseen realm is eternal."
Imagination is the ability to see something with our minds that we cannot see with our physical eyes.
Most of us don’t realize how much we use our imagination; you really could never function without it.

You can’t see anything happen or do anything without your imagination.

However, for the most, their imagination is wild and vain; this is one reason it behooves of you to renew your mind, just as you train an animal brought from the wild.

As a believer, your imagination should paint such a real picture that you live by what the Word says more than what you can see with your physical eyes. Halleluyah!

You need to meditate on the word of God until you can see yourself the way God sees you and do the things He said you can and should do.

You are dethroning those thoughts that are not consistent with your recreated status in Christ.

Stop limiting God and yourself by engaging your imagination in the right and positive way.

You Are Favoured - Pastor Ekpenyong

2 Corinthians 8:9AMP
“For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).”

Christianity is simply taking your place in Christ as He has taken yours. That's the height of favour.

It is your choice to take His place, as this is what the Father has made us and made available for us in Christ. Refuse to believe any gospel that tells you otherwise.

It is quite easy to be deceived into thinking that you have to work hard to earn whatever you desire of God, however, that is what it is – deception.

You take your place in Christ by believing, accepting and taking possession of all that’s available for you.

Just as our Lord became poor in one stroke, it’s in the same vein that we became rich. Halleluyah!

Literally thinking about this, is to see how our Father has favoured us.

The more you allow this truth to be at home with you, the better for you. You have been removed from the rat race and a life fraught with uncertainty and brought into the kingdom of His dear son whom He loves.

You may have started out in life with deprivation and scarceness, however, the day you came into Christ is the day you were transported into this life of abundance and provision; a realm of partaking of our inheritance with the saints in light.

Let this life that you now live in Christ be your contemplation and experience. As you conduct your affairs, let this realization be the foundation upon which you build and so you can deal wisely.

Glory!

Reverse Every Defeat Tendencies - Pastor Ekpenyong

Galatians 3:13MSG
"Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the Cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse."

Most people don’t realize their beliefs determine the rest of their life. Therefore, it is important to intentionally determine what you believe.

Sadly, many Christians never let the Bible get in the way of what they believe. Most people depend upon their logic, tradition or experience to formulate beliefs. Few actually take the word of God as the basis of their beliefs.

While there are plenty of man-made traditions that are harmful, there are also God-made traditions that can make His word of no effect.

I’m sure you are shocked that I said “God-made traditions,” you see the Old Testament way of relating to God is not the same as the New Testament way of relating with Him.

The Old Testament was legalistic, performance-based while the New Testament is based on what Jesus did; therefore, it has everything to do with you accepting and receiving what He has done on your behalf.

What we believe is aa a result of our thinking. If we think wrong, we will believe wrong. If our believing is wrong, our confession will be wrong.

However, the Word of God has been given to us to straighten out our thinking!

As you train your mind to believe, defeat tendencies are reversed; everything tends to move out of the arena of the impossible into that of the possible.

Your believing makes you a partaker of the blessing; you say what you believe and you believe what you say.

Constantly At Peace - Pastor Ekpenyong

Isa 26:3AMP
“You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You..”
Your mind gets renewed daily as you meditate and do the word. You come to the point where your mind cannot be changed about Father God’s nature and character.

Trust is built on the verity of a person’s nature and character and this is what you can hang on in the day of adversity because you may be so overwhelmed that you don’t even remember the promises.

However, when your focus is on God and His character, the greatness of His love will swallow up the challenge before you.

You have gained the true standpoint when your mind cannot be changed about Father God’s love.

His peace keeps you in the continuous state of never being disturbed in the face of challenging and contrary situations.

With perfect peace, you are protected and rightly positioned to face any situation with assurance and victory.
