Hearing and Miracles - Pastor Ekpenyong

Mark 4:24TPT
"Then he said to them, “Be diligent to understand the meaning behind everything you hear, for as you do, more understanding will be given to you. And according to the depth of your longing to understand, much more will be added to you.""
We're created and fitted with hearing faculties to process the sounds we hear. We have the inner ear and outer ear.

While most are familiar with the outer ear, the inner ear is most crucial as it determines a person's reality.

Faith and fear are realities that people deal with and they come as a result of what a person is hearing.

If he's hearing from God, faith comes and if he's hearing from the devil or circumstances, fear comes. Therefore, your hearing is a precursor to what you experience.

Your attitude (which involves how you hear) and the frequency of hearing which reinforces your reality are the two things that aid the development of good hearing.

One of the most effective ways to improve your hearing is by focusing on God’s Word. You can’t just live on the memory of the word of God; you have to keep hearing it.

Galatians 3:5 NCV “Does God give you the Spirit and work miracles among you because you follow the law? No, he does these things because you heard the Good News and believed it.”

He works miracles in your life because you heard the good news and believed it.

Keep hearing the word of God to possess your inheritance. God’s way of delivering miracles is by preaching.

Keep on hearing the word until you receive the hundred-fold manifestation you desire, because what you hear governs what you see and experience.

Jesus Our Pioneer and Perfecter - Pastor Ekpenyong

Philippians 2:13 BBE
"For it is God who is the cause of your desires and of your acts, for his good pleasure."

It is common knowledge in the community of believers that we've been born again into a prepared life.

Re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!

We cannot out-love Jesus because love is not just something He does. It's something He is. He is incapable of loving less because He is incapable of being less. Hallelujah!

Our devotion and emotion at the spire of their Everest cannot rake the tip of His. Jesus is always the initiator in every aspect of our relationship with Him.

Every time you are driven to pursue Him, it's because He's pursuing you. Every time you have something to say to Him, it's because He's saying something to you. Every time you choose Him, He has already chosen you.

Acknowledging Him as the Pioneer and Perfecter enables you function from rest in spite of the agony and contradictions that lead to shame so that you don't get worn out nor cave in under life's pressure.

When The Pieces Dont Fit - Pastor Ekpenyong

1 Corinthians 2:9 TPT
"This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine — these are the many things God has in store for all his lovers.”

The amazing thing about God's plan is that it seems like a big puzzle to us. And a puzzle is not a beautiful picture until you take each piece and connect them together.

If you think you have trouble with following God's plan, imagine Father Abraham who at age 75 was asked to leave his comfort zone to get to a promised land that he will be shown only when he got there.

And yes, he got to the promised land only to meet a famine there.

Genesis 12:10 AMP
Now there was a famine in the (promised) land, and Abram went down into Egypt to live temporarily, for the famine in the (promised) land was oppressive (intense and grievous). (emphasis mine).

After famine struck the land, Abraham took a wrong turn, one that took him away from God's path.

The next problem Abraham encountered in the promised land was family feud between him and Lot his nephew, which caused him to settle for leftover, but God BLESSED him beyond His wildest dream.

God may be requiring of you to take a giant leap by faith, take a step at a time as you watch His plans unfold.

For we live by responding to what God has told us, not by what we see with our eyes.

When we take each piece of the puzzle as God hands it to us and obey what He's telling us to do today, He will take care of tomorrow.

The requirements in following God’s plan irrespective of the time zone you live in are - Faith and Patience and the key is Trust.

When the pieces don't fit, God makes the difference.

Getting Ahead - Pastor Ekpenyong

John 2:5
“His mother said to the servants, whatever He says to you, do it.”

Every time there is scarcity, it is not that what people need is not available; it is just that they are unable to get it due to situations or factors beyond their control.

The situation in our text scripture is not different from the situation in contemporary times.

Perhaps, you have even felt that if you bring in austere measures to your finances or cut back on your expenses then you will be able to survive at least.

The Bank of Heaven can never be insolvent because of the needs and demands of mankind.

Therefore refuse to be distracted by the situation in the city or country of your residence. Rather keep your sights on your Source – our Heavenly Father.

Whatever He tells you to do, do it. That is the key to living above the economic realities in a society. Halleluyah!

As you engage in productive labour be mindful of the opportunities He sets on your path and the leadings of the Holy Spirit because these are part of His ways of giving us the advantage in every system and economy.

Decide to be a doer of the word and prosper even in recession.

Make Your Words A Gift of Grace - Pastor Ekpenyong

Ephesians 4:29 MSG
"Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth. Say only what helps, each word a gift."

Ephesians 4:29 TPT
"And never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth, but instead let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others; do this by speaking words of grace to help them."

The most despised tool we have is our words. It is necessary to redefine the nature of the world around us.

The gift of encouragement is divine because it releases an energy and a force field in the hearer that creates access and influence within society in ways that would be impossible without favour.

Our opening text unveils the reality that our words can be the help a person needs to become a force to reckon with in the society and in destiny.

The kingdom of God is activated upon a person when grace filled words are spoken. It is more than a natural use of words to make someone feel good about themselves or their circumstances.

Become a faithful steward of the grace and favour of God by choosing to make your words a gift of grace to those in your sphere of influence.

Encouragement is a distinguishing mark of the believer, because our words are God's channel to gain inroads into the lives and hearts of men and women, boys and girls; so they could experience His love.

Impossibilities yield in the supernatural atmosphere of encouragement.
