The Greater One In You - Pastor Ekpenyong

1Cor.3:16amp “Do you not discern and understand that you [the whole church at Corinth] are God's temple (His sanctuary), and that God's Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you [to be at home in you, collectively as a church and also individually]?”

The greatest truth revealed to us in the New Testament is the fact that after the Father has recreated us and made us new creatures by the Holy Spirit, He made our bodies His home. This is what Christianity is all about; that God lives in you and I. Halleluyah!

When this truth takes a hold of your being, you are metamorphosed into a new person because it will affect the way you look at yourself, talk and walk.

It is great to know that He has his permanent residency in me and will never leave me nor forsake me.

Sickness and disease cannot cohabit with Him because He fills the totality of my being; therefore, every symptom is served the quit notice.

I deeply cherish the thought that the Greater One lives in me because it implies that no matter the challenge or who stands against me; the Greater One in me is more.

Glory!

Our Fruit Bearing Gospel - Pastor Ekpenyong

Col 1:6amp “…Indeed, in the whole world [that Gospel] is bearing fruit and still is growing [by its own inherent power], even as it has done among yourselves ever since the day you first heard and came to know and understand the grace of God in truth. [You came to know the grace or undeserved favor of God in reality, deeply and clearly and thoroughly, becoming accurately and intimately acquainted with it.]”

It is both a BLESSING and a responsibility to be a Christian; this is because just as you received the gospel, you are expected to keep the cycle on by sharing what you received.

It’s most wonderful to note that the gospel has inherent power to transform and bear fruit in the lives of those that receive it but the gospel must be communicated by those who have received it for this inherent ability to manifest.

It therefore is our great responsibility to communicate our gospel to a world dying, lost and in despair with a sense of urgency and importance.

The best way to communicate our gospel is by telling what difference it has done in your life and its capacity to change as many as would receive it.

Refuse to be intimidated by the sophistication and flamboyance in the world; it’s all empty without Christ. Therefore, be renewed in your confidence and drive to share this ever-life-changing, fruit-bearing gospel with everyone you come across.

Glory!

Seize Your Gospel-telling Moments - Pastor Ekpenyong

Col 4:5 TLB “Make the most of your chances to tell others the Good News. Be wise in all your contacts with them.”

It is one thing to know that preaching the gospel is our privilege and responsibility; it is another to seize the moments that the LORD ever so presents to share the good news with others.

To be able to seize such moments, you must believe that it is the LORD’s will for you to share the gospel with others and that He has prepared you for the assignment whether you feel so or not.

To seize gospel-telling moments, do not look at the faces of your audience for it is not about their faces but their hearts. Therefore, understand that God’s word has transforming ability in the lives of those that receive it.

As an ambassador of Christ, you ought to conduct your relationship with your unbelieving friends with wisdom, knowing that your actions will work either for or against their reception of the gospel; especially when your lifestyle is not consistent with what you profess.

With this in mind, your walk will have a winning effect upon the world and as such, your influence towards your unbelieving friends will continually grow, for you are His epistle written and read by all men.

Glory!

Accepted In The Beloved - Pastor Ekpenyong

Eph.1:6 “To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”

One of the greatest revelations that will ever arise from our union with Christ is that we have been accepted in the BELOVED.

His glorious grace has been freely given us in Christ who is the Beloved.

Become overwhelmed with the consciousness that our Heavenly Father accepts you in Christ the Beloved unconditionally.

He is pleased with you in Christ the Beloved.

He lavishes His glorious grace on you in Christ the Beloved.

You must realize that the good acts of men are aimed at getting God’s approval so that He’ll be favorably disposed towards them, be merciful to them and grant their requests.

However, we are not trying to earn His love or approval, we are the recipients of His glorious grace by which we have been accepted in the Beloved.

When you function from the Beloved, the rejection of men has no effect on you for you know that they are ignorant.

Function from the dimension of the Beloved where you are guaranteed the riches of His inheritance and an unqualified dimension of favour.

Glory!

The One Ingredient Recipe - Pastor Ekpenyong

James 1:25amp “But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience).”

When the Scriptures talk about the law of liberty, it refers to the word of righteousness and not the Ten Commandments.

Our text scripture shows us the recipe for success in all our endeavours, this recipe always works. Halleluyah!

A recipe is a set of actions and steps to take that are likely to lead to a particular outcome.

When we consistently focus on the reading, studying, meditating, declaring/confessing the word of righteousness, we are deliberately setting ourselves up for success in all that we do.

It is a one-ingredient recipe; the perfect law of liberty, and the method of preparing it is ‘consistency’. Our text says you look into it; faithfully and perseveringly until you cannot forget it and then you find yourself doing what it says.

The outcome of this is God’s BLESSINGS upon all that we do.

Glory!

The Dawn Of A New Day - Pastor Ekpenyong

Josh.1:2KJV “Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.”

There are incidences and events in people’s lives that are milestones. That even after many years, they are yet to recover from the effect of such turning points especially occurrences that negatively mark their emotions. For some, it may be the death of a loved one, others the loss of a job, a divorce and the list goes on.

Whatever the case may be for you, from our opening text we see God acknowledging that Moses His servant was dead. Teaching us to accept as a fact whatever has happened and then not to stay there but move on for His plans aren’t over concerning you.

It’s actually a discipline to let by-gone be by-gone and move on unto bigger and better things that God has in store for us. For at every turn, His master plan is yet unfolding.

Therefore, arise from the depression and frustrations in which circumstances have kept you — rise to a new life! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!

Glory!

You Are Unimpeachable - Pastor Ekpenyong

Rom.8:33 Weymouth “Who shall impeach those whom God has chosen? God declares them free from guilt.”

This would mean so much to our politicians; but to the believer it means even more. It is so because our unimpeachable status comes from the Judge of all men, the One before whom we all have to do.

You are God’s elected choice; picked out for His glory.

It is worthy of note that no one can accuse you before God, even the devil cannot. The right the devil as the accuser of the brethren had to stand before the presence of God the Father has been revoked by the blood of Jesus that cleansed the heavens. This right was given him by Adam; who committed high treason by handing over the affairs of the earth at the fall. Halleluyah!

Do you know that the devil only accuses you to you? Do not buy into his lies nor entertain his inquests. Stop gratifying him with attention for there’s no use engaging in any conversation with him.

You have been justified i.e. declared guiltless.
You are free to become everything God has designed you for and free to do to the maximum everything He has gifted you for.

He did this through Christ's death in the body so that He might bring you into God's presence as people who are holy, with no wrong, and with nothing of which God can judge you guilty.

Glory!
