Enliven Your World - Pastor Ekpenyong

Isaiah 58:12msg “You'll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew, rebuild the foundations from out of your past. You'll be known as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again.”

We have the authority by Jesus Christ as our LORD and High Priest to change lives and nations around the world.

On the strength of the Holy Spirit at work in us, we are enabled to enliven our communities.

You are a sign and wonder to the world and as you continue to lean hard on your being as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, you will continually be a beacon of hope.

You are able to inspire hope, faith and courage in the hearts of those who listen to you and those who observe your lifestyle.

When you cross through rough spots you will transform them to safe havens. Undesirable places become like the garden of Eden.

You are the light and salt of the earth to bring order, preservation and flavor to your world; ensure that wherever you are, you brighten up the people and add value to the place because places don’t make us, we make places. Halleluyah!

Therefore, stand in the confidence of your right standing and fulfill your possibilities in Christ.

Glory!

Rendered Inoperative and Ineffective - Pastor

Hebrews 2:14AMP “Since, therefore, [these His] children share in flesh and blood [in the physical nature of human beings], He [Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death — that is, the devil.”

You couldn’t have finished reading our opening text and not break out into praise because the devil has been stripped of his ability to steal, kill and destroy. Halleluyah!

He has being rendered inoperative and ineffective by Jesus our elder brother who came in flesh and blood; the arena where we were perpetually harassed so that we would live our lives free of fear of the devil and fear of death.

The tool the devil uses today is deception and that’s why he is called the father of lies. For this, we are not ignorant of his ways and that is why we do not give him space.

One thing that stands out in all this and which you must never forget is the Father’s love for us that caused Him to come in our defeated state of flesh and blood to defeat the devil on our behalf. We are absolutely FREE and more than conquerors.

Glory!

I Stand Because I Am - Pastor Ekpenyong

Galatians 2:12TLB
“For when he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile Christians [who don't bother with circumcision and the many other Jewish laws]. But afterwards, when some Jewish friends of James came, he wouldn't eat with the Gentiles anymore because he was afraid of what these Jewish legalists, who insisted that circumcision was necessary for salvation, would say.”

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you had to go against what you believe and know to be true because of the fear of people’s reactions?

Well that’s what our conversation is about today. Peter found himself in this situation.

Refuse to conform to opinions and expectations of you when they are not consistent with who you are in Christ as a new creation.

Choose to major on what is major for us as new creations in Christ and minimize on what God isn’t maximizing.

When you stand for what you know is the truth, you won’t be standing alone forever because in no distant time people and circumstances will conform to who you are in Christ.

For we can do nothing against the truth neither serve any party nor personal interest but only for the truth which is the gospel.

Glory!

Exercise Your Confidence On God's Word - Pastor Ekpenyong

Eph.6:13-14 Weymouth “Therefore put on the complete armour of God, so that you may be able to stand your ground on the day of battle, and, having fought to the end, to remain victors on the field. Stand therefore, first fastening round you the girdle of truth and putting on the breastplate of uprightness.”

There will come a time in every believer’s life when you will have to ask yourself - ‘Just how far will I go on the Word?’

This question is a reality check for those who want to come into the reality of God’s word as their experience.

The quest has been to build confidence and reliance in God’s word to the extent that you can stand your ground for as long as you have to because of your persuasion that He is not a man that should lie or change His mind on what He has promised.

It is the confidence that the word is strong enough in any situation.

When you believe God for something, refuse to waver.

Choose to believe His Word more than you believe what you can see or feel.

It is this quality decision that will sustain you through the evil day of life, for you are already a victor and more than a conqueror.

Kenneth Hagin used to say, “If you are determined to stand forever, it won’t take very long.”

It is my choice to stand forever if necessary when I believe God for something.

Renewed Imagination - Pastor Ekpenyong

2 Corinthians 5:7wuest “For through faith we are ordering our manner of life, not by something seen.”
Imagination is the ability to see something with our minds that we cannot see with our physical eyes.

Most of us don’t realize how much we use our imagination; you really could never function without it.

You can’t see anything happen or do anything without your imagination.

However, for the most, their imagination is wild and vain; this is one reason it behooves of you to renew your mind, just as you train an animal brought from the wild.

As a believer, your imagination should paint such a real picture that you live by what the Word says more than what you can see with your physical eyes. Halleluyah!

You need to meditate on the word of God until you can see yourself the way God sees you and do the things He said you can and should do.

You are dethroning those thoughts that are not consistent with your recreated status in Christ.

Stop limiting God and yourself by engaging your imagination in the right and positive way.

Glory!

Do Your Job as Unto The Lord - Pastor Ekpenyong

Ecclesiastes 9:10ERV “Every time you find work to do, do it the best you can. In the grave there is no work. There is no thinking, no knowledge, and there is no wisdom. And we are all going to the place of death.”

It is time to take your work to the next level. For it is impossible or almost impossible to succeed at something you do not enjoy.

Some people will tell you that they are just patching with the job at hand whilst not realizing that they are unawares wasting away their golden lives because that’s the activity that absorbs a major portion of our lives.

The secret to satisfaction and fulfillment in our work is not doing what one likes, but liking what one does.

God created man to fellowship and to work. Work being our great platform to display the effect of the rub-off from His presence that is cultivated in fellowship.

Martin Luther King Jr. said, “If a man is called to be a sweeper, he should sweep streets as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well so that all the host of heaven and earth will pause and say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.”

Do your work heartily as if God is watching, because He is.

Glory!

Thanksgiving - The Voice of Trust - Pastor Ekpenyong

Phil.4:6 Weymouth “Do not be over-anxious about anything, but by prayer and earnest pleading, together with thanksgiving, let your request be unreservedly made known in the presence of God.”

It is very important and critical that the rules that govern prayer are understood and applied every time you pray because that determines the outcome; for the scriptures have been given to us by God to understand His ways.

Thanksgiving must accompany every form of New Testament prayer and supplication because our requests come from the backdrop of all Jesus has done for us by His death, burial and resurrection.

Thanksgiving implies we trust and have confidence in what Jesus has done for us. That we know that even though experientially we may not be enjoying the benefits of the New Testament, we have become persuaded that it is for us.

Also, thanksgiving, is a proper way to align oneself to the provisions and benefits of our inheritance in Christ.

When you pray and ask our Heavenly Father for anything, you can thank Him in advance because in Christ all the promises of God in Christ are yes and amen.
