Develop Staying Power - Pastor Ekpenyong

James 5:11 MSG "What a gift life is to those who stay the course! You've heard, of course, of Job's staying power, and you know how God brought it all together for him at the end. That's because God cares, cares right down to the last detail."

At what point should a believer throw in the towel and quit? This kind of question plagues a lot of believers because it seems like they've waited forever for the change they so desire.

Whenever you know that you're in the will of God for your life and that you're standing in the word or have found your place in the word; stay the course, persevere and refuse to quit until your change comes.

Our opening text tells us God cares right down to the last detail. He can be depended upon to come through for you no matter how it seems that the odds are stacked against you.

Let your heart be established in the fact that the LORD is very compassionate and merciful and that He will not fail or change His mind over your matter.

Make a quality decision like Father Abraham, Job and other Patriarchs in the faith who did not quit, give up or surrender. Glory!

  1. The process of waiting and not giving up till change come is one of the toughest aspect in life. But what we do in the process of waiting can help speed up the process and bring about speedy delivery of our expectations. Praising, constant studying of the word of God, declaring the promises of God over our lives daily, praying, Thanksgiving, positive attitude, the Right people and the Right counsel can help us stay strong in the waiting process and not give up.
We cannot do it by our own power, depending totally on God's strength and absolute trust in God is a very important receipee.

God will send help speedily. HE never keeps his children hanging.

    Thank you Jesus
