Envoys Of Peace - Pastor Ekpenyong

Luke 10:5amp "Whatever house you enter, first say, Peace be to this household! [Freedom from all the distresses that result from sin be with this family]."

It is very important that we take the words of Jesus seriously because it shapes and determines our experiences. Simply put, it is our life.

The implication of our text shows us you're an envoy and carrier of peace. It is such that when you come into a place and proclaim peace; there is a consequent change in the atmosphere and change in the lives of the recipients of your proclamation.

You carry with you divine forces that cause sufferings and distresses to cease in households and communities. Halleluyah!

It is very important you become aware and conscious of these words so that you know the mandate upon you as an ambassador.

You show up with a divine mandate to install and instil peace; alleviating the distresses that results from sin and death in the lives of men and women.

No ambassador is on his own because he speaks the mind of the sending country. Therefore, be aware that your words are not ordinary for they have heaven's authority and approval.

Our world will be better for we have come as envoys of peace. Glory!

Only The Best Of The Land For You - Pastor Ekpenyong

Isaiah 1:19TLB "If you will only let Me help you, if you will only obey, then I will make you rich."

Do you act as if the word of God were real? Do you tell anyone that it is real? It is important that we ask these questions so that you will not be at variance with these truths for they are not for the weak hearted.

When the challenges of life stare a man in the face eyeball to eyeball, except he is adequately spiritually educated there is a great chance that he will condescend and opt for less than God's best because of the austere incongruities.

Our opening text tells us you can eat the best from the land you're located if you will receive His Help and do as you're told.

It doesn't even stop at that, there is an update on this conversation in Philippians 2:13TLB "For God is at work within you, helping you want to obey Him, and then helping you do what He wants." Halleluyah!

Can it get any better than this, I guess not! You can as well just go ahead and praise God because you are eating the best of this land for He has perfected all the requirements in you.

Allow the Holy Spirit to make up for the weakness of your personality by responding to His promptings and leadings and you are guaranteed the best of the land. Glory!

He Expects Thanks - Pastor Ekpenyong

Luke 17:17TLB "Didn't I heal ten men? Where are the nine?"

God expects us to give thanks for all that He has done for us. There are some that will question this statement because they think that God hasn't done anything worthy of celebrating; because they measure their lives by material things.

However, He would require of you to give Him thanks for what He did for humanity & creation in the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Whenever anyone comes back in gratitude to the Father, He also looks out for the others because He did it for all.

Make it a practice to mention why you are thanking Him just as you would like to know why someone was thanking you. Then go steps further by thanking Him in tongues; for by so doing you are thanking Him well from your spirit in unrestricted eloquence and inhibition.

Take note; there is a difference between sharing a testimony and giving God thanks. Your testimony bears witness of God's faithfulness and goodness but when you thank God in tongues; you're thanking Him for His gift that is too wonderful for words. Glory!

Be The Friend - Pastor Ekpenyong

Job 6:14RSV "He who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty."

There are many relationships in this world dignified by the name of friendship which really do not deserve it.

The true office of friendship is to enter fully into the circumstances of the friend; not to be indifferent to them and therefore ignorant.

True affection will inquire gently, wisely, and with care into the situation, and the need, and the sorrow, and hopes of the object of its attachment. Not for nosy curiosity, but from loving interest the friend's heart will open to take in the tale of sorrow, even the words of complaint.

It is a duty one friend owes to another to show the utmost compassion of spirit.

THE FIRST VALUE OF TRUE FRIENDSHIP IS THAT IT WILL GIVE SUPPORT IN WEAKNESS, UNDERSTANDING AMID EVIL REPORTS, CONSOLATION IN SORROW, AND HELP IN THE BEARING OF BURDENS; AND IT IS NOT FRIENDSHIP WHEN IT BREAKS DOWN UNDER SUCH DEMANDS. ADVERSITY BRINGS HIM FORTH FOR CRISIS TESTS A FRIEND AS FIRE THE GOLD.

Be the friend that is committed, loyal, selfless and faithful. Glory!
