Believe You Receive - Pastor Ekpenyong

Mark 11:22Wuest “On this account I am saying to you, all things whatever you are praying and asking for, be believing that you received them, and they shall be yours.”

You would hardly find a believer who does not agree that the Bible is a revelation from God — that every word in it is true. They see what God's Word says, admire what God's Word says yet when the crises of life come, the last resort for a lot is the Bible.

The difference in believers is that one acts on the word while the other simply recognizes the truthfulness of the word but does not act on it.

It takes hearing and meditating on the word consistently and for a length of time for you to develop confidence in the word to act on it.

Jesus said, “When you pray, believe ...” What is it you are to believe? That you have them? No. He said to believe that you receive them. And what will happen? And ye shall have them. Halleluyah!

It is important that you give your faith time to produce and refuse condemnation and mockeries of the enemy for we believe we received and we shall have.

Glory!

Developing The God-Kind of Faith - Pastor Ekpenyong

Mark 11:22 Douay-Rheims “And Jesus answering, saith to them: Have the faith of God.

Just as it is possible for a person to be developed in a certain human ability, there is a thing as being developed in the God-kind of faith. As with any endeavor, it takes time and consistency.

Jesus was highly developed in the God-kind of faith, and you can see this exemplified in His different conversations all through the Gospel.

Here is where some people are missing it; they say, “I started saying certain things and nothing has happened. I said it four or five days and it did not come to pass.” They are not developed in it.

Keep saying it, keep speaking it. You are shaping the unseen. It does not come overnight; it is a process, a way of life.

The first thing your words are doing is causing faith to come because you are really not going to change many things until faith comes. Second, your words build an image inside you.

It all goes back to seedtime and harvest. Everyone knows that if you plant today, you will not harvest tomorrow. Your words are like seeds; they will produce a harvest. Keep saying it, and remain steadfast. This is the way to cause creative power to flow through your mouth.

Glory!

Wonders In Praying - Pastor Ekpenyong

Josh.10:13GNT “The sun stood still and the moon did not move until the nation had conquered its enemies. This is written in The Book of Jashar. The sun stood still in the middle of the sky and did not go down for a whole day.”

What men think impossible is possible with praying believing people and our emphasis being on praying and believing.

There are people who pray and yet don’t believe that their prayers are heard much less answered and there are yet people who believe and do not pray. Making them impotent and unable to experience the wonders of God upon the earth.

The laws of nature are suspended by people who know how to make demands and press on in the place of prayer. For when we pray we are cooperating with the eagerness of God to perform His wonders.

Christ has won the victory for us and when we pray we are only enforcing our BLOOD-BOUGHT rights and taking advantage of same. Halleluyah!

The glories yet to be seen upon the earth are those yet to be demanded by praying believing people; for the Father’s desire is to see you become a showpiece of His glory and praise upon the earth and that’s why He expects us to pray to bring about the changes we desire.

Glory!

Receive Beyond Your Comfort Level - Pastor Ekpenyong

Zech.10:1ERV “Pray to the Lord for rain in the springtime. The Lord will send the lightning and the rain will fall, and he will make the plants grow in each person's field.”

It is quite human to feel deserving when you earn from your labour and resourcefulness and somewhat awkward when you receive gifts on a sustained and continuous basis.

There is the possibility to feel embarrassed and insecure when the gift goes beyond your reasonable comfort level to a level of extravagance because you begin to ask yourself questions like “why me,” “isn’t this too much” etc.

You must understand that God does not hinge His goodness on your piety and therefore, you don’t have a right to turn down or turn off the abundance once its on.

What we must not forget is that it is His goodness that leads us to change the way we think and act. We tend to reverse that verse and live our lives thinking that change leads us to His goodness.

You must learn not to reject His goodness and learn to keep yourself positioned under it.

When you embrace His grace, you will never be proud or boastful.

Glory!

The Right Perspective - Pastor Ekpenyong

Isa 26:3AMP “You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.”

Keeping your mind stayed on Him means keeping consistently alive thoughts of God as regarding you in your mind; thoughts of His faithfulness, His word concerning you, victories you have enjoyed in Him and thoughts of His nature and character.

If your mind is constantly on your problem and how big it is, the problem magnifies in your eyes and the power of God will seem small.

However, when your focus is on God and His character, the greatness of His love will swallow up the challenge before you.

You have the right perspective when your mind is stayed on God, and you can face the challenge before you as David faced Goliath and defeated him.

The peace of God is the continuous state of never being disturbed in the face of challenging situations.

When you have the peace of God, you are rightly positioned to face any situation and come out victorious.

Glory!
