Envy Obscures Your Gift - Pastor Ekpenyong

Acts 5:1msg “But a man named Ananias — his wife, Sapphira, conniving in this with him — sold a piece of land”

Everyone has his/her proper gift to serve in a specific way that edifies the body of Christ and serving in this way will make room for you at the top.

Lots of people have neglected their gifts because it seems so ordinary to them so that they envy those flourishing in theirs.

However, God’s grace allows us to function in a myriad of ways that are uniquely personal.

From our text scripture, it is very probable that Ananias and his wife Sapphira sold their piece of land out of envy that Joses had been named Barnabas (Son of Consolation) because of his generosity.

They wanted to be recognized as well but functioned out of fear; which always causes people to hold back their best.

Go ahead and be what you were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing yourself with others, or trying to be something you are not.

Embrace this grace for it will release a God-given confidence in you for the moment and make a place for you in the body. Glory!

The True Standpoint - Pastor Ekpenyong

Isa 26:3GW “With perfect peace you will protect those whose minds cannot be changed, because they trust you.”

Your mind gets renewed daily as you meditate and do the word. You come to the point where your mind cannot be changed about Father God’s nature and character.

Trust is built on the verity of a person’s nature and character and this is what you can hang on in the day of adversity because you may be so overwhelmed that you don’t even remember the promises.

However, when your focus is on God and His character, the greatness of His love will swallow up the challenge before you.

You have gained the true standpoint when your mind cannot be changed about Father God’s love.

His peace keeps you in the continuous state of never being disturbed in the face of challenging and contrary situations.

With perfect peace, you are protected and rightly positioned to face any situation with assurance and victory.

Glory!

Celebrate The Simple - Pastor Ekpenyong

1Timothy 2:2 MSG “Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation.”

Celebrate the simple. If you can’t, you’ll be in trouble because you’ll need the artificial to keep you satisfied.

Your ability to celebrate the simple says a lot about the depth within you. Unfortunately, for the most, they learn this at the twilight of their days on earth. From our opening text, the target of everyone is a quiet and simple life.

One reason it is important you learn to celebrate the simple is that God can trust you with the complex because you won’t be overwhelmed by it.

People have more issues with who they are not, than with who they are and the irony of this is that satisfaction and contentment comes from enjoying who you are.

Realize that if you accomplish everything you desired, but you are uncomfortable being alone, you have missed something.

Strive for simplicity and celebrate it because simplicity is what life is made of.
Glory!

You're Fit For Your Inheritance - Pastor Ekpenyong

Colossians 1:12 AMP “Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the light.”

It is one thing to be qualified for an event and it’s another to be fit for the event. However, thanks be to our Father Who has both qualified us and made us fit to partake of what’s ours in Him (every promise and provision of the gospel of the kingdom). Halleluyah!

We were chosen and appointed beforehand in accordance with His purpose and it fits perfectly in His grand design.

The word of God is able to build you up and deliver to you your rightful inheritance among the saints. For example, it is possible to own a parcel of land and not enjoy it because it’s in contention by a difficult person.

However, despite the devil’s stubbornness, the word of God makes you fit and delivers to you your inheritance as you meditate and confess the word so that you can enjoy it. Hallelujah!

The word has an inherent dynamic ability that will cause it to produce for you whatever you desire as conceived from the word.

Glory!
