Moments After Prayer - Pastor Ekpenyong

 

Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

At what point do you receive what you’ve prayed for or are praying for?

Its just after the moment you prayed.

Why does it seem lots of folks have problem receiving? How come they keep talking unbelief and look depressed and sad even after spending long hours in prayers?

A simple answer to all these questions is they did not receive.

Are you wondering?

Jesus said when a man asks, he will receive that his joy may be full. When a man prays and knows he has received:

i. It will show in his countenance.

1 Sam 1:18amp “Hannah said, Let your handmaid find grace in your sight. So [she] went her way and ate, her countenance no longer sad.”

ii. It will show in his conversation.

Gen 17:4-5CEV “I promise that you will be the father of many nations. That's why I now change your name from Abram to Abraham.”

iii. It will show in his actions.

Luke 17:12-14TLB and as they entered a village there, ten lepers stood at a distance, crying out, "Jesus, sir, have mercy on us!" He looked at them and said, "Go to the Jewish priest and show him that you are healed!" And as they were going, their leprosy disappeared.”

The good thing about being a doer of the word is that God is irrevocably committed to fulfilling His word when you step out or act on it.

For example, if hands were laid on you to be healed, begin to rejoice because Jesus said when hands are laid on the sick, they shall recover.

As long as your action is based on the word, it will only be a matter of time before you see a complete manifestation of your healing.

Getting Ahead In Recession - Pastor Ekpenyong

John 2:5 “His mother said to the servants, whatever He says to you, do it.”

Every time there is scarcity, it is not that what people need is not available; it is just that they are unable to get it due to situations or factors beyond their control.

The situation in our text scripture is not different from the situation in contemporary times. Perhaps, you have even felt that if you bring in austere measures to your finances or cut back your expenses then you will be able to survive at least.

The Bank of Heaven can never be insolvent because of the needs and demands of mankind. Therefore refuse to be distracted by the situation in the city or country of your residence. Rather keep your sights on your Source – our Heavenly Father.

Whatever He tells you to do, do it. That is the key to living above the economic realities in a society. Halleluyah!

For example, Jesus says in John 15:16amp “…whatever you ask the Father in My name as presenting all that I AM, He may give it to you.” So therefore DO IT!

 

Another example is found in 1Kings 17:9; God commanded the widow of Zarephath to sustain Elijah. What if she did not do what was commanded her?

Decide to be a doer of the word and prosper even in recession.

Check Your Measures - Pastor Ekpenyong

 

Galatians 6:16amp “Peace and mercy be upon all who walk by this rule [who discipline themselves and regulate their lives by this principle], even upon the [true] Israel of God!”

God will do anything you believe Him for. The only reason He has not done more for you is because you have not believed Him for more. All you are and all you have today is the result of what you believed and said in the past.

The way you measure any challenge before you is what determines whether you walk in victory or not. When you measure your problems with respect to CHRIST IN YOU, your situation will look different. 

Giants look big when we measure ourselves by them in the flesh, but when we look at it from CHRIST IN ME perspective; they become just lifts or stair cases to higher levels of glory.

God is greater than the devil. He is greater than the giants that are in the land. He is greater than the enemy we face. He is greater than any power that can come against us. He is greater than any force that can be unleashed upon us.

When you think like that, look at things like that, believe and talk like that, sooner or later, you are going to be on top. 

The Greater One is in you.

A Full Life - Pastor Ekpenyong

 

Isaiah 58:11msg “I will always show you where to go. I’ll give you a full life in the emptiest of places – firm muscles, strong bones. You’ll be like a watered garden, a gurgling spring that never runs dry.”

Oh the blessedness of the life in Christ!

Our Father God has chosen you in Christ to be a showpiece of His grace and mercy.

A vessel by which He displays the glories of His love and the benefits of eternal life.

A true ambassador living in the reality of heaven on earth; an earth that is plagued and ravished by sin, lack and evil.

Amidst all the confusion and uncertainty, you are assured of direction. In the face of despair and lack you are living a rich full life. Halleluyah!

You are well watered and nourished like the garden of Eden; bubbling with zest and vitality so that your body is rejuvenated and restored.

Some may be wondering if these descriptions are for the life when we go home to be with Jesus in heaven. No! it’s the life we are living here on earth in Christ.

Jesus said I have come that you may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

As you meditate on these scriptures and renew your mind with them, you will find yourself living the full life in Christ.
