Revelation 8:3amp “And another angel came and stood over the altar. He had a golden censer, and he was given very much incense (fragrant spices and gums which exhale perfume when burned), that he might mingle it with the prayers of all the people of God (the saints) upon the golden altar before the throne.”
Have you ever wondered what happens to all the intercessions of the saints?
Prayer is constantly being made all over the world and there will never be a day without prayer, for it is part of the priestly ministry of the believer.
Prayer remains often long unanswered in the manner we expect. The reasons for the long delay are often far beyond our reach and comprehension; but in the end they will be found infinitely wise and gracious of our Father Who sees all and knows all.
From our opening text, we see that prayer is not lost. It lies on “the golden altar in front of the throne.” For we lay each petition there, as we pray in Jesus name.
Prayer will be answered but in ways, we little think of.
Though delayed, it will only add to the fullness of the answer, and increase our joy when it comes.
Yes, it will come for He is faithful that promised. He cannot deny Himself.
Glory!
