You Can Thrive - Pastor Ekpenyong

3 John 2 TPT
“Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering.

The prosperity of your soul is a personal responsibility.

While many have somebody to blame for where they are located, the condition of your soul is your responsibility.

A man was once very angry at a Preacher for saying “the outcome of your life is your responsibility.” While some will reason with that man saying, “how can the preacher make such a grievous statement,” it sounds like good news to me because it means I can make my life as beautiful as I want it to be.

A soul that is prospering causes other areas to thrive as well.

Definition of thrive
• To grow vigorously: flourish
• To gain in wealth or possessions: progress
• To progress toward or realize a goal despite or because of circumstances.

If you want to thrive just take care of the atmosphere and you most certainly will; this will not be necessarily because the circumstances of your life have changed but because the condition of your soul is flourishing.

Genesis 39:2 AMP “But the Lord was with Joseph, and he [though a slave] was a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.”

We can see from the above text that Joseph, though a slave was successful and prosperous.

Therefore, what causes a person to thrive is not the circumstances about the person but the condition of the person’s soul.

I believe that a thriving atmosphere is bigger and more influential than all the disadvantages resulting from location, education, economy or any other factors.

Quit the blame game and take on the reins by creating your own thriving environment.

The Heavenly Pattern - Pastor Ekpenyong

Hebrews 1:2 TPT
But to us living in these last days, God now speaks to us openly in the language of a Son, the appointed Heir of everything, for through him God created the panorama of all things and all time.

The counsel of God reveals to us the principles and patterns upon which our lives should be founded.

The principles reveal the premise upon which the word stands and is summarized in the finished works of Christ through His death, burial and resurrection; the lens by which we view the word and apply the same in our lives.

The patterns reveal to us the mindset we should have so our lives are meaningful and enjoyed here on the earth.

What we see perpetuated is this that before God will ever do anything on the earth, He would first speak it.

Which implies that really there aren’t any surprises in God because He always will say what He would do before He does. Halleluyah!

Right from the creation in Genesis to the Revelations of John He makes known His intentions before He does anything.

Your life can take on a new meaning when you understand these patterns so that you are comforted that everything God tells you by His word and Spirit will certainly be fulfilled.

Know Can Do - Pastor Ekpenyong

Job 32:8AMP
But there is [a vital force] a spirit [of intelligence] in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives men understanding.

Wisdom and Maturity are NOT age dependent, though age can be an enabling ground.

However, maturity and wisdom result from the deliberate and accurate deployment of knowledge.

So the question is ARE YOU LIVING BY THE KNOWLEDGE YOU HAVE?

It is very important to live by what you know; first it is a way of proving it to yourself and thereby building convictions about it.

Secondly, in the application of what you know, you increase your capacity to know more and do more.

Thirdly, you increase your circle of influence and ability to help more people.

You rob yourself of love, power and stature that comes from experience because you are not practicing and proving what you know which should be the hallmark of a growing Christian.

Decide today to practice the truth you know and you will be amazed at the unbelievable pace of growth and influence you will experience and manifest.

It is time for you to be and do more for His glory as we extend the boundaries of the Kingdom.

When The Pieces Don't Fit - Pastor Ekpenyong

1 Corinthians 2:9 CEV
But it is just as the Scriptures say, "What God has planned for people who love him is more than eyes have seen or ears have heard. It has never even entered our minds!”

The amazing thing about God's plan is that it seems like a big puzzle to us. And a puzzle is not a beautiful picture until you take each piece and connect them together.

If you think you have trouble with following God's plan, imagine Father Abraham who at age 75 was asked to leave his comfort zone to get to a promised land that he will be shown only when he got there.

And yes, he got to the promised land only to meet a famine there.

Genesis 12:10 AMP
Now there was a famine in the (promised) land, and Abram went down into Egypt to live temporarily, for the famine in the (promised) land was oppressive (intense and grievous). (emphasis mine).

After famine struck the land, Abraham took a wrong turn, one that took him away from God's path.

The next problem Abraham encountered in the promised land was family feud between him and Lot his nephew, which caused him to settle for leftover, but God BLESSED him beyond His wildest dream.

God may be requiring of you to take a giant leap by faith, take a step at a time as you watch His plans unfold.

For we live by responding to what God has told us, not by what we see with our eyes.

When we take each piece of the puzzle as God hands it to us and obey what He's telling us to do today, He will take care of tomorrow.

The requirements in following God’s plan irrespective of the time zone you live in are - Faith and Patience and the key is Trust.

When the pieces don't fit, God makes the difference.

Develop Your Sense Of Hearing - Pastor Ekpenyong

Matthew 11:15 AMP “He who has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him consider and perceive and comprehend by hearing.”

We're created and fitted with hearing faculties to process the sounds we hear. We have the inner ear and outer ear.

While most are familiar with the outer ear, the inner ear is most crucial as it determines a person's reality.

Faith and fear are realities that people deal with and they come by what a person is hearing. If he's hearing from God, faith comes and if he's hearing from the devil or circumstances, fear comes. Therefore, your hearing is a precursor to what you experience.

Your attitude which involves how you hear and the frequency of hearing which reinforces your reality are the two things that aid the development of good hearing.

One of the most effective ways to improve your hearing is by focusing on God’s Word. You can’t just live on the memory of the word of God; you have to keep hearing it.

Galatians 3:5 NCV “Does God give you the Spirit and work miracles among you because you follow the law? No, he does these things because you heard the Good News and believed it.”
He works miracles in your life because you heard the good news and believed it.

Keep hearing the word of God to possess your inheritance. God’s way of delivering miracles is by preaching.

Keep on hearing the word until you receive the hundred-fold manifestation you desire, because what you hear governs what you see and experience.
