Galatians 3:13-14TPT
"Yet, Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed it completely as he became a curse in our place. For it is written: “Everyone who is hung upon a tree is doubly cursed.”
Jesus, our Messiah, was cursed in our place and in so doing, dissolved the curse from our lives, so that all the blessings of Abraham can be poured out upon even non-Jewish believers. And now God gives us the promise of the wonderful Holy Spirit who lives within us when we believe in him."
Most people don’t realize their beliefs determine the rest of their life. Therefore, it is important to intentionally determine what you believe.
Sadly, many Christians never let the Bible get in the way of what they believe. Most people depend upon their logic, tradition or experience to formulate beliefs. Few actually take the word of God as the basis of their beliefs.
The Old Testament was legalistic, performance-based while the New Testament is based on what Jesus did; therefore, it has everything to do with you accepting and receiving what He has done on your behalf.
What we believe is as a result of our thinking. If we think wrong, we will believe wrong. If our believing is wrong, our confession will be wrong.
However, the Word of God has been given to us to straighten out our thinking!
Christ was doubly cursed so we could be doubly blessed. Hallelujah!
Through Jesus' death on our behalf, we have been reconciled to God through forgiveness of sin and receipt of Christ’s righteousness.
Even more now, through the resurrected Christ who's alive in us, we have the power to overcome sin and live victoriously forever.
As you train your mind to believe, defeat tendencies and effects of the curse are reversed and terminated; everything moves out of the arena of the impossible into that of the possible.
We're partakers of the blessing; irreversibly blessed and forever blessed.
Glory!
