Phillipians 4:6TPT
“Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life.”
Thanksgiving must accompany every form of New Testament prayer and supplication because our requests come from the precincts of all our Lord Jesus has done for us by His death, burial and resurrection.
Thanksgiving implies we trust and have confidence in what Jesus has done for us. That we know that even though experientially we may not yet be enjoying the benefits of the New Testament, we have become persuaded that it is for us.
Also, thanksgiving, is a proper way to align oneself to the provisions and benefits of our inheritance in Christ.
When you pray and ask our Heavenly Father for anything, you can thank Him in assurance because in Christ all the promises of God in Christ are yes and amen.
